Over 2,280 exhibitors showed their products and solutions in the construction industry on an area of 200,000 m2. More than 250,000 visitors from over 45 countries underline the importance of BAU as the world’s leading trade fair for architecture, materials and systems. Everyone who is involved in the planning, construction and design of buildings internationally came here: architects, planners, investors, industrial and commercial representatives, craftsmen and many more. The visitors experienced the future of construction up close.
The topic of decarbonization was particularly the focus of visitors. We were always happy to answer interested questions about the measures of our SWT Green Steel Strategy, our roadmap for a sustainable future. We are proud that our EPD (environmental product declaration) already shows the very low value of < 327 kg CO2e emissions per ton of molded steel (EPD according to ISO 14025 and EN 15804+A1).
Many architects entered the bauforumstahl joint stand to take a close look at our strong steel structure. The highlight on our stand was the two-meter-long “Steel Sleeper” exhibit.
In addition to the gigantic steel structure, seating and tables were also made from our steel at the joined stand of bauforumstahl. Real eye-catchers!
