Packages
Packages are individually weighed in the production process and provided with a package label. Please observe the regulations for grades with quantity restrictions (see corresponding detail tables from page 14 in the product catalog).
The standard package weight is approx. 5.5 t. The in-house stacking catalog applies to individual package dimensions and bundle weights. Deviations only in consultation with the plant.
Individual Bars
Individual bars are delivered and invoiced on the basis of the theoretical weight.
Permissible Deviations in the Delivery Quantity
5 t to < 40 t = +/- 10 %
> 40 t = +/- 6 %
5 t to < 40 t = + 0 / – 10 %
> 40 t = + 0 / – 6 %
Min./Max. Lengths
- Minimum length: 6.0 m (4.0 … 6.0 m on request)
- Largest packagable length: 24.1 m
- Lengths in individual bar dispatch: 20.2 - 28.1 m only on request
- Permissible deviations in length: - 0 mm / + 100 mm
Deviating length tolerances only on request.
Rolling Tolerances
The usual rolling tolerances on dimensions, theoretical weight, shape and length are shown in the technical data and comply with the applicable standards.
Restricted Rolling Tolerances
In individual cases, it is possible to roll certain dimensions of our profiles with restricted tolerances, e.g. tolerances reduced to half or a quarter of the applicable standard.
Readiness for Dispatch Ex Works

Marking
The packages are marked with 1 – 2 labels per package. Non-packaged individual bars are provided with a label. Special customer requests for labeling, e.g. individual bar label in packages, must be agreed.
Package label
Coated film, color white, yellow upper edge, manufacturer’s mark red. 1 or 2 labels per bundle attached to a binding. Content: Dimension, bar length, batch (not standard), grade, package weight, order number & item, package number, number of bars, additional text (not standard).
Additional label
At the customer’s request, additional texts can be included on an additional label for up to 12 lines x 40 characters (max. 250 characters).
Individual bar label
Paper, color white, generally glued to the web at the bar end, approx. 2–5 cm from the saw cut. Standard content: Dimension, length, grade, order number & item (can be extended at the customer’s request, e.g. batch number). For technical reasons, the individual bar label can only be attached to one side. Non-packaged material is always provided with an individual bar label.
Steel stamping
Content by arrangement (e.g. batch no., manufacturer’s mark, grade, acceptance stamp).
Color marking
The color marking of packages can be done on the saw cuts and/or as a colored stripe on the outside of the packages. Color marking of the individual bars is only possible on the saw cut.
