Extensive research has shown that our dedusting system consumes significantly more electricity when it is operated constantly than if it were it is linked to the manufacturing process. We are going to install frequency converters that adjust the speed of the fan motors to real needs. The potential savings in electrical energy are around 3,800 MWh per year per dedusting fan. Due to the current long delivery times, commissioning is planned for the summer of 2024.
We are taking the path to green steel production: by 2040, we want to produce steel in a climate-neutral way and be a CO2-neutral company.
