Our personnel development is based on 4 pillars:
In-house vocational training
Since 1992, we have been providing new training every year. To date, approximately 200 young individuals have successfully completed their training at Stahlwerk Thüringen. This has provided them with a solid start to a fulfilling professional life.
Each year, we offer several permanent training positions, for which we aim to attract interested applicants. We consider this an important investment in the future of our company and thus offer young people a perspective in our region.
Internal career advancement training
Professional education is an essential instrument for personnel planning and employee development, ensuring that every employee can acquire the necessary expertise and skills, both for their own benefit and in the interest of the company.
Our employees therefore participate in various internal and external qualification programs.
Upon meeting the relevant requirements, Stahlwerk Thüringen GmbH also supports your further personal development – for example, through master craftsman and technician training – to enhance competence for relevant internal job postings.
External academic funding
Future-oriented talent retention is of central importance for our company to remain competitive in the market long-term.
With the aim of attracting academic talent for the company, it is possible to conclude a sponsorship agreement with Stahlwerk Thüringen GmbH.

Full-time study & scholarship
This considers employees who undertake full-time studies and choose a field of study that aligns with our business purpose and the company's employee development concept.
Scholarships are awarded based on talent and performance. Personal suitability is determined by proof of general university entrance qualification, the quality and quantity of work performed to date, and assessment by the supervisor.
Individual onboarding for every employee.
For every new employee, we implement an onboarding program tailored to their individual needs and the requirements of their position.
For your role in our commercial or engineering department, we create a precise onboarding plan.
During the first few weeks, a company mentor will also accompany you to ensure the highest possible knowledge transfer and to familiarize you with the respective work environment. On this basis, you will be expertly and thoroughly introduced to your tasks.
