The feasibility study is being conducted on behalf of 54 regional partners from business and public administration in Saxony, Saxony-Anhalt and Thuringia. The study was initiated by:
– European Metropolitan Region of Central Germany
– Hydrogen network HYPOS
– DBI Gas- und Umwelttechnik GmbH
– INFRACON Infrastruktur Service GmbH & Co. KG
In addition to Stahlwerk Thüringen, network operators, consumers and producers as well as other supporters are participating. This makes it the largest privately financed study of its kind in Germany.
Building on the basic study “Hydrogen Network Central Germany” published on April 22, 2022, the new study will significantly expand the previous study area Leipzig-Halle-Leuna-Bitterfeld and include large parts of the federal states of Saxony, Saxony-Anhalt and Thuringia.
