Steel that provides good abgesichert support.
The people who work for and with us are our greatest asset. That is why we are implementing many measures for comprehensive health protection and for the highest level of safety in the workplace.
All measures are based on the system of our occupational safety and health management.
Our integrated occupational safety management.
Under the guiding principle of “One minute for safety – that’s how much time it takes,” we organize activities that we integrate into the processes of all company divisions.
Since 2000, we have been working with the integrated management system of the “German Association for Quality Assurance (DQS GmbH)”. For this purpose, our processes are checked every year with audits.
We have received the certificate confirming our occupational safety year after year. Certification also includes equipping our production facilities with safety devices that meet current standards. They, too, are an important contribution to safe and healthy working conditions.
Regular training and communication create more safety.
We continuously carry out load analyses and risk assessments. At the same time, our employees regularly attend seminars and training courses to be up to date and to refresh learned rules of conduct again and again. In this way, we sharpen individual awareness of potential risks in the workplace.
We also sensitize every employee to all aspects of occupational safety.
Participation in the GESiM Occupational Safety Competition, which is announced by the French employers’ association of the steel and iron industry, is a further guarantee for the constant improvement of the safety-oriented design of work in the Stahlwerk Thüringen.
Maximum safety for every business partner.
Our high demands on occupational safety apply equally to our business partners, such as suppliers, service providers and customers.
As soon as business partners are on our factory premises, we attach great importance to ensuring that our partners consistently comply with the safety rules applicable at Stahlwerk Thüringen.
Maximum safety also for our business partners
Our safety standards also apply to suppliers, service providers and customers on our factory premises. The basis is the international standard ISO 45001, which aims at safe working conditions and their continuous improvement. In this way, we jointly create a safe working environment for everyone.
ISO 45001 – Occupational Health & Safety
This standard focuses on safe working conditions and their continuous improvement.
